At Buffalo State, we explore how teachers can create English classrooms that matter, classrooms where young people engage in reading, writing, and critical thinking that encourages them to become active participants in the world around them. Our program prepares students to work in urban, suburban, and rural schools.

Colin Dabkowski
“I spent a long time living a mile and a half from Buff State without realizing that they had an English education program that was so closely aligned with my beliefs about education. The department was promoting ideas I had deeply believed for years, and had a view of education that I couldn’t have hoped for in my wildest dreams.”
